![]() Soon after she and the other ghosts pick the Golden Fruit from the tree, Spooky appears and convinces the ghosts to aid him in his plans to get rid of the Pac-People. She picks a flower, presumably infatuated with Pac-Man. Pinky is first seen watching Pac-Man sleep from outside his window. Pinky appears in the game's cutscenes, and as an enemy on some levels. She then discovers the reason Golvis was imprisoned was because of his clumsiness, not because of his power. She scolds Golvis, declaring that she's had enough of his foolishness. Although Inky, Blinky, and Clyde weren't completely interested, they went along with Pinky's plans.Īfter the destruction of Golvis's UFO, Pinky and the others watch Pac-Man on a television in the middle of the ocean. They team up with Golvis in order to get rid of Pac-Man after their previous defeats. Pinky and the ghosts appear in Pac 'n Roll as enemies. No ghost is stronger than the other in this game, and the only one who acts differently from the others is Sue. Pac-Land features Pinky and the other ghosts as they try to stop Pac-Man using cars, buses, UFOs, and planes. She continues a similar role in these subsequent games: During "scatter" mode, Pinky occupies the top-left corner of the maze. ![]() Because of this, however, if Pac-Man comes face-to-face with Pinky at an intersection, she will, more often than not, turn away. Sometimes she can also chase Pac-Man directly like Blinky. She tends to move counterclockwise around blocks. By following Pac-Man's direction (approximately four spaces ahead of wherever he is headed) rather than Pac-Man himself, Pinky usually ends up taking a roundabout path to him. She starts inside of the Ghost Home in the Maze's center, sitting in the middle of Inky and Clyde. Pinky first appeared alongside Blinky, Inky, and Clyde, the other members of the Ghost Gang, in Pac-Man. 1.6.6 Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures (video game).A ghost similar to Kinky appears in Pac-Man 256, but only in the glitch, and he has no glasses.Kinky is only his signature color when Pac-Man is off the screen (or dead).Kinky smiles as well, but only while Pac-Man is respawning. The duplicate is only seen smiling when Inky is only moving horizontally. When he makes his copy though, the copy is frowning. When Inky gets his new ability, he is seen smiling.Eating Kinky has the same effect as a Power Pellet, but increases the scorecount slightly (as eating Kinky counts as a 200-point ghost). They are also colored the four ghosts when Pac-Man is fighting them in the boss battle. Kinkys are colored green near the end of the game.Be careful if Pac-Man is directly behind Clyde though as it takes some time to emit a Pac-Dot. It isn't really much of an ability, as it only keeps Pac-Man on the maze longer. All he does is spit out larger 20-point Pac-Dots. His ability is the least dangerous when compared to the others. If a Kinky merges with Clyde, Clyde becomes immensely large. In later parts of the game, Inky seems to choose Pac-Man as his target, but will change his target often. The copy of Inky disappears when a Power Pellet is eaten, and hitting it with a dash arrow depletes it as well. However, Inky can only use the ability when entering "scatter" mode. This ability's danger is the most significant when compared to the other three ghosts' abilities. The glasses are used to create a duplicate of Inky on the opposite side of the maze. If a Kinky merges with Inky, he dons shades like Kinky. However, in later parts of the game, Pinky will notably become "smarter" and will jump more frequently. Also, Pinky doesn't think too far ahead before making the jump (doesn't think about ambushing), so this attack can be easily escaped as well. The target is clearly seen with as it is marked by a glowing bulls-eye. If a Kinky merges with Pinky, Pinky becomes a rabbit-like ghost that can hop from one side of the maze to the other. The charging attack can be easily escaped, and can be countered with a Power Pellet or a dash arrow (which shoots Pac-Man in the direction it points and temporarily stuns ghosts in the way). However, Blinky can only do this in horizontal hallways. If a Kinky merges with Blinky, Blinky becomes a bull-like ghost that can charge after Pac-Man. Kinky's Japanese "Character" name, 拈くれ Hinekure, roughly translates to "perverse" or "contrary", which is true to how he behaves in Arrangement as he is the only ghost that can never harm Pac-Man due to his permanent vulnerability. The speed he can do this depends on how far the player is. The ghost Kinky targets is always pre-determined depending on the stage. He also seems to have the capacity to create machines (as seen in the last round of Pac-Man Arrangement). He will chase after a ghost on-screen, and said ghost significantly slows down until Kinky catches it. As aforementioned, Kinky can merge himself with other ghosts. ![]()
